It started with a unique idea and a love for honey in 2023.
I wanted to try my hand in beekeeping, which led me to take the leap after sitting on this idea for a year. I decided to participate in an event called Indiana Beekeeping School hosted in Muncie, IN.
From this single event I was inspired, excited, and became part of a welcoming community. In my excitement, I joined a local beekeeping club that same month. During my first beekeeping meeting, I was surprisingly offered two beehives and equipment.
In less than four months after attending the beekeeping meeting, I had a total of four hives, caught my first bee swarm, and collected honey.
By the end of my first year I had a total of eight hives going into the winter.
It was official, I am beekeeper.
